Exams for French certifications

The DELF (Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française) eand DALF diploma (Diplôme refinements en Langue Française) are the only certifications recognized internationally by both French public and private entities and by stewards of scholarships and training programs abroad of the various European countries.
issued by the French Ministère de l’Education Nationale, which guarantees the validity of educational tests: six levels of language competence defined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Italy is among the first countries in the world for the number of candidates (in 2006, some 30 000 candidates have applied for exams) and for the introduction of certification in schools and universities: the French diplomas have been undertaken by MIUR under an agreement with foreign certification bodies (DPR March 8, 1999 n.275 - Regulation of autonomy, program CAMPUS ONE).
